the art of “golden repair.”
Artists Anne Ferril and Tom Wolf will lead a hands-on workshop introducing a modern take on kintsugi — the art of “golden repair.”
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of joining broken pottery by mending the pieces with a resin dusted or mixed with powdered metal, traditionally gold. Please be aware that the final piece from Kintsugi will NOT be food safe.
Your attendance fee will include epoxy resin and a metallic mix for use in the workshop. Please bring one or two broken pieces of pottery no larger than 5 inches.
Prefer to work with real gold dust? A link will be provided for those who wish to purchase authentic materials separately.
This event is now open to everyone with 3 available spots remaining.
