Local Ceramic Artists Rally for Public Broadcasting
with "Pots for Public Broadcasting" Pop-Up Sale
GREAT BARRINGTON, MA – In response to recent Congressional cuts to public broadcasting funding, local ceramic
artists are taking matters into their own hands with "Pots for Public Broadcasting," a special pop-up pottery sale
happening Saturday, August 16, as part of Berkshire Busk in Great Barrington.
The event, running from 6:30-9:00 PM, will feature handcrafted ceramics from talented local artists including Anne
Ferril, Julie Buyon, Donna Bernstein, Harry Levenstein, Sharon Pollack-Deluzio and Ingrid Raab. All proceeds from
sales will go directly to support local NPR and PBS stations.
"Hands off my PBS you crackpots!" say the participating artists, who are passionate about preserving access to
quality public broadcasting in the Berkshires and beyond.
The pottery sale coincides with Berkshire Busk, Great Barrington's beloved summer-long festival featuring live
performances and community events every Friday and Saturday evening from 6:30-9:00 PM.
Pottery lovers and public broadcasting supporters are invited to browse unique, locally made ceramics while
supporting a vital community resource. This is a rare opportunity to own beautiful, handcrafted pieces while making a
meaningful contribution to public media.
