Kristie Driscoll

My love of clay began as a child along the banks of Hop Brook, where I was captivated by its texture and malleability. Clay became my way of connecting with the earth—a relationship that continues to shape my work today.

Nature is an endless source of inspiration. I find beauty in the irregularities of stones, the patterns of bark, the movement of water, and the quiet rhythms of leaves, branches, and landscapes. Through texture and form, I try to capture something of this natural dance in clay.

For me, working with clay is both grounding and intuitive. It is a process of listening—to the material, to my surroundings, and to the unexpected moments of discovery that emerge along the way. I embrace the organic qualities of clay and allow the process to guide me, finding a balance between intention and chance.

Through these experiences, I hope to create pieces that evoke a sense of connection, curiosity, and wonder, inviting the viewer to pause and appreciate the beauty of the natural world.
