Revolutionary Teapots

  • chestwood 4 Williamsville Road Stockbridge, MA, 01262 United States (map)

Commemorating our 250th Anniversary as a nation, the Berkshire Potters Collective (BPC) is proud to announce the opening this summer of a unique juried show, aptly titled “Revolutionary Teapots,” in the gallery space at Chesterwood, the former summer home, studio and gardens of America’s foremost 20th century public sculptor, Daniel Chester French.

Ceramic artists are invited to enter their interpretations of what it might mean to be a “Revolutionary” teapot (endowed with the forms, colors or symbols associated with 1776 and our early history); or a “revolutionary” teapot (a vessel that defies norms or stretches boundaries); or, simply, wonderfully unique!

Leslie Ferrin, gallerist and leading specialist in contemporary ceramic art, will judge the show and designate award winners.

“Revolutionary Teapots” will open on August 1st and close on September 27th.
