I first took ceramics class in high school for one year. A number of years later I began ceramics again through an adult education program at a local high school and it has been a hobby of mine since then. I did a lot of handbuilding for 3 or 4 years before working up the courage to learn the wheel.

I enjoy creating functional pottery pottery for everyday use. I like to try making new things, challenging myself, and trying out new techniques. Some of my favorite shapes and pieces were created from just playing around with clay on the wheel, trying new techniques, and getting inspiration along the way from that.

I love the endless possibilities there are working with clay and how rewarding it is seeing the final product come out of the kiln after putting time and effort into each piece..
